Collection Points

As in previous years, both Community Bank® Branches will be collection points for local charities, Foothills Community Care and Rowville Baptist Care. If you would like to donate a Christmas gift or non-perishable food item for someone local who is in need, drop into a Branch and leave your donation under the tree.

Bendigo Bank and FTG Freemasons Provide Bursary for Fairhills High School Students

As the result of a joint venture between the Ferntree Gully Bank Branch, the Peace & Loyalty Masonic Lodge & the Freemasons Foundation 12 students of Fairhills High School will each receive a $500 bursary providing financial assistance with their educational requirements next year.

Knox & District Woodworkers donate wooden toys


Each year the Knox & District Woodworkers Club make many wooden toys for distribution to local charities at Christmas.

New Mayor for Knox


Board member, Darren Pearce was recently inducted as Mayor of Knox.  The ceremony was at the council offices and with Darren on the night to celebrate was fellow Board member, Etienne Clauw and Tony Holland.

Local radio station 3MDR receives funding

Local radio station, 3MDR receives funding from your Community Bank®.  This funding will help keep the station running and providing something for everyone.  As well as music, they provide news, lifestyle, talkback and local community arts and culture including a wide variety of ethnic programs.  The also broadcast from local community events and the station is an emergency broadcaster and provides vital bushfire information on Code Red fire days.  


Peace & Loyalty Lodge receive defibrillator


This year as part of the Community Grant applications, the Peace & Loyalty Lodge in Ferntree Gully applied for and received a defibrillator for use at its premises in Station Street.  Each year, hundreds of people suffer an unexpected cardiac event. With a defibrillator close by, a person who suffers such an event has a much better chance of survival.
