Congratulations to Tracey Samios and Rebecca Sellars who received awards at the recent Regional Awards Night. Tracey’s award was for her community work, especially through the sale of “Football Piggies” in the Rowville Branch which can also be purchased through the Ferntree Gully Branch, all proceeds go to Chicks for Charity Foundation.  Rebecca received an award for outstanding Wealth sales since being appointed the wealth ambassador for the Ferntree Gully Branch. Fantastic effort by both Tracey and Rebecca. Keep up the excellent work.

The annual Community Bank® Grants presentation is a night the bank gives back the community. Every year the Knox Community Bank® shows it support to local organisations by funding some of their projects. One particular organisation is the Foothills Community Care, a community group that opens its doors to feed those who would otherwise go without.

Foothills have been running meal nights for 16 years and in the past 10 years they have served 27,000 meals with the help of over 200 volunteers. This year the Knox Community Bank® awarded a grant of $8,000 to help with the purchase of food and supplies to help support their ongoing contribution to the community.

The Peace and Loyalty Lodge have been an important community figure since 1920. This year at the Community Grants Presentation the Knox Community Bank® Group awarded a grant of $2,000 to go towards high school fees at Fairhills High School. The grant will be used to help those who would otherwise not be able to complete their secondary education by covering the cost of their education. With the funding they have received this year 16 kids who would otherwise be unable to complete their education now have the necessary funding thanks to the work done by the Peace and Loyalty Lodge
